 Hotel Description:

The Time is a hit with the entertainment industry, theatergoers, businesspeople and everyday travelers who appreciate its unconventional style and location close to everything Manhattan. Besides beans, the rooms also include gourmet coffee, Bose Wave radios, high- speed Internet access, three phones and Moulton Brown London designer toiletries. Color drives this hotel, from the muted gray and cream tones in the lobby to the vivid reds, blues and yellows in the guestrooms. In addition to the area's world-renowned restaurants, the Time's Oceo specializes in American cuisine. The designer, Adam Tihany, broke every rule in the book for hotel design. The avant-garde furniture selection, set against large backgrounds, radiates simplistic elegance awashed in deep vibrant colors and rich textures. The Time Hotel is located in the center of Manhattan's Times Square, placing travelers close to everything: nearly 40 Broadway shows, Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. Built in 1926, this modern contemporary Manhattan hotel offers minimalist urban design with clean lines and polished edges, typical of New York City loft living. Ten blocks from the hotel, Central Park's 843 acres is perfect for walking, biking, running, skating, bird- and people-watching, boating, and simply drinking in the glorious sights of Manhattan. Guests can relax in the La Gazelle Lounge. Guests riding the glass-enclosed elevator can look down to see brown and white eggs arranged in a checkerboard pattern at the bottom of the shaft. The guestrooms are equally striking, each with color themes echoed in tall, quilted headboards, bedspreads, artwork, tiny vials of fragrance and even jars of jelly beans.
