 Hotel Description:

Contemporary rooms take up floors 28-38 of the East Tower. With such a worldly address, the Millennium UN Plaza naturally hosts heads of state, diplomats, dignitaries, but also flight crews, tourists and business travelers who appreciate the convenience to Midtown Manhattan. West Tower rooms feature tapestries donated by U.N. members, marble baths with massaging showerheads, Asian-style fabrics and art, and kitchenettes or vanities. Located opposite the United Nations, the Millennium UN Plaza's ultra-modern glass-and-steel high-rise overlooks the East River and offers wonderful views in a city where most hotels overlook neighboring buildings. East Tower rooms offer contemporary light-wood furniture, glass-topped desks, wall-to-wall windows, marble baths with massage showerheads, and photos of New York sites. For dining, the hotel's Ambassador Grill, a fav of U.N. diplomats, specializes in American and continental cuisine, including Filet Mignon, Penne Pasta with Portobello Mushrooms, Steak Frites and Maine Crab Cake. The indoor lap pool is a rarity in the New York City hotel world. Asian-inspired rooms are on floors 29-40 of the West Tower. What's more, the Millennium is four blocks from Grand Central Station, six blocks from Broadway's bright lights, and conveniently located to Queen's Midtown tunnel for easy transportation throughout the city. Meanwhile, guests will feel their rooms are upscale residential apartments permeated by a sophisticated ambience. They are valid for postage on mail from U.N. offices in New York. The Millennium offers one of the city's best fitness facilities, including state-of-the-art equipment; heated, indoor lap pool; massage and sauna area; and indoor tennis court. In addition, staff at the theater desk will help guests land tickets to Broadway shows, sporting events and other attractions. What's more, Hotels.com visitors can buy U.N. stamps personalized with their own photos in the U.N. Building's public visitor area.
