The 55-story hotel is five miles from La Guardia Airport and within 10 blocks of South Street Seaport, Battery Park's famous restaurants and shopping, and funky Greenwich Village, SoHo and Tribeca. Resurrected in 2003, the hotel includes a rosewood-paneled lobby, and a 20-by-40-foot heated indoor pool with floor-to-ceiling windows framing exquisite views of 18th-century St. Paul's Chapel. The slender, shiny Millenium Hilton highrise in Lower Manhattan, N.Y., faces the rebuilding site of the former World Trade Center and stands close to the World Financial Center and Wall Street. Guestrooms feature 42- inch plasma televisions, plush "Beds by Hilton," Internet access, laptop safes and city views. The rosewood and cream lobby holds a display of the hotel's salvaged American flag from September 11, 2001. From guestroom windows, guests at the Millenium Hilton can capture exquisite views of Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor. Guests can enjoy regional American cuisine and seafood straight from the market at the hotel's Church & Dey, and sip cocktails and coffee throughout the day at the Liquid Assets bar, featuring burgundy banquettes, gold-velvet chairs and muted lighting. The hotel also provides a business center, fitness room and massage therapy in the spa or guestrooms.
