 Hotel Description:

The building's detailed Beaux- Arts elements are illuminated by custom lighting. The rooms also include Bose Wave sound systems, high-speed Internet connections, laptop safes, iPods and wall-mounted 42- inch plasma TVs with 300 channels. The lounge's seasonal terrace provides panoramic views of the cityscape. Welcome to "Hautel Couture.". Inside, venturing through the hotel's revolving front door will take guests on trips to the design world's past and future. They can walk on sleek, modern black floors and gaze up into the vaulted, mirrored ceiling reflecting blown glass flames sitting atop decorative columns. At the Dream, travelers are not just dreaming; this is reality, Chopra style. Guests are privy to beds covered with 300-plus Egyptian cotton linens and plush feather duvets. Yeah, but what about the rooms?. They're 165 to 175 square feet of innovative treatments. As for dining, Dream's Serafina, a Fellini-inspired restaurant, allows patrons to savor Italian fare. With huge charcoal murals, an antique bar serves as a welcoming concierge desk and cappuccino bar. Passing through the lobby to one of the three bars takes guests under a colossal crystal boat and by a world- class aquarium and stoic copper statue (circa 1915) of Catherine the Great atop a waterfall. One to four blocks from Central Park, Carnegie Hall, Fifth Avenue shopping, Rockefeller Center, Times Square and other sites, Dream combines the vision of hotelier Vikram Chatwal, a mind- enhancing lobby, three separate bars and spiritualist Deepak Chopra's Ayurvedic healing center. The penthouse Ava Lounge, named after actress Ava Gardner, provides a feast of 1950s retro and French Riviera, with sculpted walls, bench seats, and black-and-white floors. Float away on a cloud at Dream - and wake up to an entirely new hotel experience.
