 Hotel Description:

Talk about panache!. In a building that was once a private club, this boutique hotel still has an exclusive, club-like atmosphere. Although the immediate area is bustling, guests should find the City Club Hotel a quiet and comfortable haven in the middle of the city that never sleeps. The second floor is home to a 12-seat Tracy Stern SALONTEA, where "high tea," fresh scones and pastries are served in the afternoons before guests traipse off to the theater. Can you imagine Woody Allen living anywhere else but this neighborhood?. (The mirrors become transparent when guests switch on the TVs. Talk about location!. Neat, eh?). Guest rooms are appointed with a contemporary décor described by the New York Times as earth tones in the rooms and chocolate marble in the bathrooms. Three duplex suites feature private terraces and 20-foot ornate ceilings. The contemporary décor extends into the bathrooms, which feature complimentary Hermes upscale bath amenities, designer fixtures, phones, TV speakers, and either oversized tubs or shower with bidets. Just off the lobby is the world renowned chef Daniel Boulud's new DB Bistro Moderne, a favorite of local celebrities such as Woody Allen. The City Club's rep is so good that everybody from Conde Nast Traveler to the New York Times to Vogue Magazine have written features about the place, all cooing wildly about the environment, panache and interior design by world-renown Jeffrey Bilhuber. Amenities include 350-count Frette bed linens, down-feather beds, safes, 24-hour room service, DVD and CD players and accompanying libraries. Right on Fifth Avenue, the City Club Hotel is only steps away from the Theatre District and upscale shopping and stylish boutiques for the fashion conscious. Unique features are the TVs that are cleverly concealed behind two-way mirrors.
